I am Deborah Arnold and I am an active member of Housing Justice League and president of the City View at Rosa Burney’s Tenant Association. I have fought and won the fight for HUD contract renewal for seven years, ensuring that affordable housing remains in Atlanta.
I am William Cowley and I am an active member of Housing Justice League and part of the Task Force at Wheat Street Towers. I fought my eviction and won. The task force has fought to ensure that Wheat Street Towers remains affordable for seniors and that we have the right to return after much needed renovations.
Housing Justice League wants to send Deborah Arnold and Mr. Cowley to the NAHT (the National Alliance of HUD Tenants) Conference, which is June 11th through June 14th. As a members of Housing Justice League and as a members of a tenant associations in Atlanta, it is vital they attend the NAHT conference to represent affordable housing in Atlanta. This conference will give vital knowledge in how to better serve our community. We are financially challenged and asking for donations toward this purpose. We need your help!
Registration for the conference costs $250 per individual. The hotel rooms cost $175 plus tax per day per individual. And roundtrip airfare from Atlanta to DC roughly costs about $250 per individual. Help us reach our goal of $2,000 to get Deborah Arnold and Mr. Cowley to Washington DC for the NAHT Conference!
